Uncharted Worlds: A Journey with Giants

CASE STUDY

The Challenge
Thanksgiving Point had run dinosaur-themed summer events before. The opportunity with Uncharted Worlds was to signal something bigger—five distinct worlds, each with its own creature ecosystem—while building a unified explorer identity that tied everything together and gave guests a reason to discover every corner of the gardens.

The Execution

  • Developed the Uncharted Worlds logo and overall Explorer’s Guild visual identity through final art

  • Designed five world-specific badges—Crawler Canyon, Glacial Falls, Colossal Valley, Predator Peak, and Shipwreck Bay—each with a distinct palette and creature while maintaining brand cohesion

  • Created the Explorer’s Guild notebook, a guest-facing activity book filled with games, puzzles, and world lore, produced in InDesign and distributed at entry

  • Animated the logo for use across social media and email campaigns

  • Extended the visual system into environmental way finding, creature signage, and a compass map adventure throughout the gardens

The Result
A fully realized brand ecosystem that turned a seasonal event into an immersive world—giving guests a reason to explore every region and return to collect every stamp.
