Butterfly Biosphere Conservatory
To welcome visitors into the Butterfly Conservatory, I created a hand-illustrated animated video that plays in the entry vestibule. The piece introduces guests to the conservatory while explaining important guidelines to prevent butterflies from escaping as doors open and close. Alongside the video, I designed a series of creative reminders placed throughout the space, encouraging guests to interact with the butterflies respectfully and safely. The combination of playful illustration and clear messaging helps set the tone for the experience—engaging visitors while ensuring the well-being of the butterflies.

Visitor Guidance & Safety Signage
Leafcutter Ant Exhibit
I designed the interpretive graphics for the Leafcutter Ant exhibit, combining bilingual educational content with environmental graphics that followed the ants’ path through the space. The system helped explain colony roles, behavior, and communication while integrating with the physical exhibit.
Specimen Label System
I developed a flexible label system used across more than 200 specimens throughout the Butterfly Biosphere. Each label organized key information at a glance, including safety risk level, diet, geographic origin, and whether the species was native to Utah.
Butterfly Release Experience
For the Butterfly Biosphere’s butterfly release experience, I created a series of more than 50 species-specific commemorative cards. Each paired a butterfly photograph with its common and scientific names, origin, and species information, while the reverse gave guests a place to name their butterfly and record their release.
