Environmental Design
Brands don’t stop at the screen. These projects take visual systems into the physical world—exhibit signage, way finding, and large-format outdoor media.
CASE STUDY
Literature in
the Garden
The Challenge
With a subject matter (Ellis Peters' Brother Cadfael series) that skewed toward an older audience, the challenge was making medieval herbalist history feel engaging and accessible to Thanksgiving Point's diverse demographic—families, kids, and literary enthusiasts alike—through outdoor signage alone.
The Execution
Hand-illustrated every design element in Procreate—herbs, blossoms, and decorative borders—to match the medieval herbalist theme.
Laid out interpretive signs in InDesign, weaving direct literary quotes with botanical education
Prepared files for large-format print on ACM panels built for outdoor durability
The Result
A cohesive, fully illustrated exhibit system that felt custom-crafted—because it was.
CASE STUDY

Designed plant bed warning signs, interior reminders, and a
4-step exit vestibule vinyl sticker seriesAll copy written in both English and Spanish for accessibility
The Result
A playful, consistent environmental system that communicated safety protocols without breaking the magic of the space.
